There is something very sinister about a forest, especially on a cold dark night, and there aren't many places that set the atmosphere like a forest does. Visibility is low, branches are breaking behind you and that eerie feeling that anyone or anything could be lurking behind a tree just waiting for you to turn your back is a chilling thought.
