A team from Sefton Paranormal Investigators filmed the creepy footage during a guided tour of the Liverpool Medical Institute, a building renowned for paranormal activity.
However, it was only once the footage was watched back that the team realised that they had managed to record some ghoulish happenings.
The spine-tingling video appears to show a ghostly orb at the foot of the main staircase, where people have previously reported seeing the unexplained figures of a man and his dog. It appears to cross the path of the group before disappearing again.
Further footage captured by the group is equally terrifying, as an unexplained voice can be faintly heard in the background.
The LMI opened in 1837 and is one of the oldest medical societies in the world, with spectral sightings having been previously reported in the Victorian lecture theatre and library.
Pamela Robinette, a member of the Sefton Paranormal Investigators said ‘As a rule of thumb, we always begin by simply asking if there are any spirits that wish to communicate with us.’
